Cheering people

“I think this is a fantastic idea. Not only would a community play bring people together, it would be an excellent event for Farnham raising awareness of the array of artistic talent the town has to offer. I really hope local people will come out in force to the public meeting and show their support for this exciting venture”.
Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP
Member of Parliament for South West Surrey
Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport

The Farnham Community Play will bring together a professional team from Claque Theatre to work inclusively with the people of Farnham.

The process will continue until the end of 2011 to create a total theatre experience that both celebrates and challenges. Together, we aim to create an abundance of activities, meetings, workshops and rehearsals which develop friendships and support between those people involved and offer interactivity between established organisations – these aims represent the major reward from becoming involved with Our Farnham, Community Play.

The various projects are carefully prepared with the consultation of all interested parties and seek to respond to the specific needs and expectations across the Our Farnham community. The play and other activities are being designed to meet Farnham's unique needs.

The culmination of events will grow into a thrilling climax of achievement which will be a testament to the creativeness and co-operation of people and organisations across Farnham and villages in outlying areas.
